Abstract
Introduction: Obesity is an abnormal or excessive accumulation of fat that can lead to the development of chronic noncommunicable diseases such as heart failure, which puts the integrity and life of the population at risk. Physiotherapy appears as a fundamental intervention in the rehabilitation of patients with this type of affectation. Method: The present investigation consists of a documentary review of the physiotherapeutic intervention in the obese patient with chronic
heart failure, articles of journals indexed in Spanish, English and Portuguese were collected evidencing the anatomical and physiological changes of this clinical condition, the alterations that Unchains the corporal systems and the integral management of the rehabilitation in the field of the action in physiotherapy. Results: The physical training is a fundamental factor for the rehabilitation of these patients, by means of an adaptive work with prescription of the exercise and gradual tolerance, taking into account the zones of training and intensity. In addition, the
importance of nutritional habits and psycho-emotional and social support is highlighted. Conclusion: The work of the physiotherapist should be a prescription of supervised aerobic and anaerobic exercise, with weekly minimum of 150 minutes, 5 times a week with moderate and vigorous intensities. In addition, multidisciplinary work is necessary for the achievement of therapeutic objectives
