Carpal tunnel syndrome and job performance of physical therapists
Síndrome de túnel carpiano y desempeño laboral de fisioterapeutas
Main Article Content
The objective was to review the literature about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) to make an association between the theoretical concepts of CTS pathophysiology and the procedures that are performed in Physiotherapy within the professional field. As a result of the review, at least seven of ten activities recorded by physiotherapists in the Single Classification of Health Procedures (CUPS) are related to CTS risk factors. According to this, professionals in this area are at continuous risk of cumulative trauma, therefore, it is necessary to strengthen prevention programs aimed at health professionals, according to their specific risk factors.
