Abstract

This article seeks to make the academic and professional community aware of the intervention model that is applied in the training of Ibero-American physiotherapy students, described by the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) in the Guide for Physiotherapeutic Practice. Since its inception, the Iberoamericana physiotherapy program has sought to ensure that the profile of the graduated professional responds to the needs of the environment based on social, political, economic and educational references; Based on this purpose, the Iberoamericana based the training of its students on an intervention model that allowed it to develop intervention categories and strategies for Human Body Movement for its approach based on a physiotherapeutic diagnosis. Currently, this model described by the APTA provides the essential elements that facilitate the approach to human body movement, making it part of the didactic strategies for the training of students. It is important to highlight that this process is supported by the program's research lines.
