XXVI national physiotherapy congress 2019 XXVI congreso nacional de fisioterapia 2019 A response to health needs in Colombia

Abstract

This supplement is consolidated as the memories of the XXVI NATIONAL CONGRESS
OF PHYSIOTHERAPY 2019, “A response to health needs in
Colombia” held in the city of Barranquilla on November 1, 2 and 3, stage
which established itself as the meeting point for more than 400 physiotherapists
from all regions of Colombia; also counting on the participation as
attendees and speakers, physiotherapists and Kinesiologists from different countries of
Latin America. To reflect on health needs, the topic
consolidated as transversal was the difficulty in the accessibility of services
by the populations, which is why autonomy and direct access
were fundamental in thinking about the professional role and offering the possibility
to exchange professional knowledge that is built and experienced in
daily practice, as well as facilitating an overall view, allowing
reflection and questioning of the exercise of physiotherapy in the face of
realities and needs of the country.
