Abstract

Currently, musculoskeletal disorders in video game players are much more evident, taking into account that there are approximately 2,800 million gamers in the world and 38% of them play video games on a computer, console or other electronic device. This makes clear the need to see what impact this practice may have on health, so it is intended to carry out an exhaustive search on articles in different databases, focused on musculoskeletal alterations in amateur players. According to this, after a review of different databases such as pubmed, Scielo, Science Direct, in English and Spanish, from the last 5 years, the results showed that the evidence reports 80% of alterations and discomfort in upper limbs and the 10% presented a pathology in this case Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, due to the fact that there is little information about the possible and more alterations in the players, which makes evident the need to create analysis and evaluation methods at the physiotherapeutic level knowing and carrying out a battery very detailed evaluation on the players.
