Cambios en la agilidad en los estudiantes de Cultura Física, Deporte y Recreación de cohorte 2013-1 Prospective Study

Introduction. Agility is the ability to change from one movement to another in the shortest time possible, thus to allow the response to a controlled motor and/or physical stimulus. Santo Tomás University evaluates the physical abilities of the aspirants to the program of physical culture, sports and recreation in the motor, physical and physical components to identify and analyze the profile of each of the subjects. Which they had a prospective follow-up from the beginning period and at the end of their academic period to be analyzed and to demonstrate the existing changes of the physical capacities during their passage through the university. Methodology. A quantitative study was carried out with prospective follow-up by the agility test in mobile adaptation and pre-university admission ground skill and pre-completion of the Physical Culture, Sports and Recreation program to identify which were the most relevant changes and findings of the physical condition of the incoming students of 2013-1. Results. There was an average of 30.95 seconds in the male ground test, with a SD of 5.02 with a good percentile and in the female gender of 38.95 seconds; good percentile; continuing the prospective monitoring until 2016, approximately 4 years after its first intake, in the men an average of 30.87 sec was found with a SD ± of 8.49 with a good percentile and women a mean of 30.06 sec. with a DS ± of 9.64 with an excellent percentile. Conclusions. An improvement of the execution times was found, where the average time of the performance of the test is decreased, with greater optimization in the female population.
