Abstract

Research is understood as “an essential social practice for the cultural, economic, social and political development of the country…”, a position that leads to significant challenges for the academy in favor of: a) promoting the development of research skills in students; b) generate impact research that is recognized nationally and internationally; c) comply with institutional development indicators; and perhaps its most important reason d) propose alternative solutions to the felt needs of the communities that seek the human development of the country. This situation is similar in all HEIs, both public and private, that are faced with complying with indicators from training, from academic and research production, from financial investment,
from the establishment of academic cooperation networks and from the effective and ethical response to the social needs of our country, among others; without ignoring that the demands or measurement standards of research are projected to be increasingly higher, which reflects the current dynamics or rather the globalization of research.
This is why Scientific Movement Magazine presents a new volume with the aim of contributing to the dissemination of scientific production around human body movement, public health and related areas; These pages that you can review below take a tour of evidence of the effect of physical exercise in specific situations, continue with the characterization of populations of interest in the context of health, and end with bibliographic reviews on pathologies or conditions that trigger limitations.
