Effectiveness of the Hands Pro instrumental manipulation technique for the treatment of mechanical low back pain.
Efectividad del uso de la técnica de manipulación instrumental Hands Pro para el tratamiento de la Lumbalgia mecánica. Case reports
Main Article Content
Introduction: Low back pain is a condition primarily linked to biomechanical alterations, such as muscle imbalances, joint restrictions, and spinal mobility dysfunctions. Treatment with instrumental manipulation techniques optimizes the release of myofascial restrictions and improves joint function. In this case, the use of Hands Pro tools allows for precise application of force and real-time biofeedback, promoting effective and personalized interventions for the management of low back pain. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of using the Hands Pro instrumental manipulation technique for the treatment of mechanical low back pain. Methodology: This is a series of 4 case reports of adults between 20 and 35 years of age with a medical diagnosis of low back pain who agreed to participate in a study. Hands Pro Instrumental Manual Therapy was applied during 5 sessions. Variables such as pain intensity measured with the Numeric Verbal Scale (NVS), lumbar spine joint range of motion, displacement with the Schober sign, and skin mobility at the level of the entire spine from the cervical to the caudal level, lateral mobility, and rotations were considered. Results: Study participants showed a decrease in pain scores, an increase in lumbar range of motion, and an increase in soft tissue displacement. Pain scores showed the best results due to improvements between 5 and 8 levels on the NVS.
