Abstract

Stroke is a clinical syndrome of vascular origin characterized by the appearance of progressive signs and symptoms due to the loss of a focal function, thus being a cause of severe disability. A data collection was carried out on the most frequent reason for consultation in the years 2020 and 2021 in health institutions with teaching service agreement resulting in that the pathology with the most incidence is STROKE with 30% in the city of Valledupar, its frequency increases with age and aging populations. The development of Clinical practice Guidelines based on evidence is a decision of the General Social Security System in order to guarantee the provision of quality health services, in this way clinical practice is improved by promoting the efficient use of resources for the physiotherapeutic management of said pathology. Currently, the institutions have guidelines adopted by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to guarantee the quality of the health service, but they continue in a process of improving services such as physiotherapy, where it requires processes of adaptation of the clinical recommendations given by the ministry in contexts where patients develop.
