Abstract

Introduction: Given the code of ethics of physiotherapy and the duty to comply with Law 528 of 1999, a bioethical reflection is carried out on the possible effect of the financial remuneration of the physiotherapist and its difficulties in complying with said code; Furthermore, the possibility of the intervention of bioethics in the economic effects of professionals is discussed. Methodology: Obeying the main purpose of illustrating health protagonists about the labor remuneration situation of physiotherapists as a potential modifier of well-being, scientific data based on gray literature and availability in databases such as PubMed are reviewed. ; Scielo; and Google Scholar that express the current working conditions in terms of economics and the laws that regulate the ethical actions of physiotherapy professionals. Results: In accordance with the current work of physiotherapy, the information expresses the need to accept the economic conditions of professionals in terms of their professional practice as a factor that modifies the well-being of the worker, and, therefore, that of their patient. . The intervention of bioethics in economic aspects is argued as a tool for sustainable and political solutions that allow the development of the professional practice of physiotherapy as an important aspect for their lives and the lives of those who intervene. Conclusion: Finally, some actions aimed at research are recommended for a complete understanding of the current economic situation of physiotherapists, and subsequently, begin the escalation of bioethics intervention in economic issues of professionals in this area.
