Abstract

University-based scientific journals are an essential medium for disseminating advancements in science, technology, the arts, various disciplines, and professional fields. They enable the sharing of research findings, fostering dialogue, critical analysis, and validation through the scrutiny of the academic community.


The significant institutional effort—both in terms of financial and human resources—invested in maintaining high-quality journals, which are evaluated by experts, is driven by the goal of transferring the knowledge generated through research. Among other purposes, this effort seeks to contribute to social cohesion and the advancement of science and humanity—fundamental objectives of a university institution such as ours.


The Iberoamerican University Corporation has a 32-year history, with academic programs in the health sciences, where it has played an active role in training professionals with strong critical and analytical thinking skills. These competencies have enabled graduates to enhance the impact of their professional performance, going beyond mere technical application of their knowledge. They are continually seeking to improve their understanding in order to prevent and solve problems within their respective fields. This has been achieved not only through rigorous disciplinary education but also through the institution's commitment to methodological training and a strong research culture.


The institution’s longstanding research tradition has established it as an academic benchmark, with its research efforts contributing to disciplinary advancements and promoting the development of technical and professional fields. Its functional approach has consistently pushed the boundaries of both knowledge and its practical applications.


This journal, now indexed, is the result of continuous and dedicated work focused on research that contributes to improving people’s quality of life, thus fulfilling one of the core objectives of education in the health sciences.
