Since 2018, the journal has implemented an Early Print publication model. Once a manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer review process and has been formally accepted for publication, it immediately enters copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and DOI assignment. Articles may therefore be published online ahead of the official release of the corresponding issue. Upon publication of the scheduled issue, the article is incorporated into the final volume together with the editorial and the complete table of contents.
