Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The text meets the stylistic and bibliographic conditions included in Recommendations to authors for publication of articles

  • It is an original article written by the author here signed with research topics in Physiotherapy, which meets the standards for the publication of articles detailed in his journal.

  • It is an unpublished article, which has not been submitted for review and is not published, partially or totally, in any other scientific journal, national or foreign

  • There are no conflicts of interest with state or private organizations that may affect the content, results or conclusions of this publication.

  • The article has been read and approved by each of the authors, and therefore the data and references to already published materials are duly identified with their respective credit and included in the bibliographic notes and in the citations that stand out as such.

  • In case of publication, I give free of charge all of the economic rights derived from the article in question, understanding the assignment of the following rights: reproduction in all its forms, transformation or adaptation, public communication, distribution and, in general, Any type of exploitation of the works can be carried out by any known or known means.

Author Guidelines

The document must be presented in Microsoft Word format with the following characteristics: page layout, letter size, single column, space (line spacing), Arial font, 10 points, justified text, initial and bold capitalization for the title of the article, its translation in English and the sections that structure the text (Summary, Keywords, Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Conclusions, References).


The document must be paged in Hindu (Arabic) numbers in the lower central part. For the presentation and sending of the article or document to the Journal, it must include the following:


Title in Spanish and English:


It must be in Spanish, in bold, using uppercase and lowercase letters according to the orthographic and grammatical rules of the Spanish language. It should be brief and concise, and at the end with a page of asterisk (call) type to indicate the origin of the article, specify, if it is the case, the funding coming from an institutional call, and include the name and number of approval by the respective research committee of the institution where the study originated. Express the declaration of presence or absence of conflict of interest. The title must be translated into English.


Full name of the authors in their order of appearance; of each level of formation, institutional affiliation, email, link of CvLac (if it has one), code ORCID and H5 (if they have it).


Reception Date: Date on which you will send your article


Date of Acceptance: Date in which the author (s) deliver the final version of the article with the adjustments indicated by the external peers.


Summary


Extension of maximum 250 words and must contain a structured Introduction: in which a small opening of the topics is included and the objective of the research is described, Method used, a synthesis of the most relevant Results and Conclusion of the same.


Keywords: Place 3 to 5 key words, attending as far as possible, to the list of MeSH terms of the Virtual Health Library (VHL).


Abstract


The translation of the summary in English will be presented here. It will be presented in cursive.


Keywords: Here the MeSH terms indicated in the previous point will be presented, taking into account the English translation presented in the list of MeSH terms of the Virtual Health Library (VHL).


Introduction


The entire article must be written in the third person (with the exception of qualitative research that requires it) and will have a maximum length of 15 pages, including references. Arial font of 10 points will be used. This section should contain a synthesis of the conceptual and theoretical reviews of the research, the approach of the problem, the academic, social and investigative justification.


It is important to note that there must be consistency in the text and the objectives of the study, which must be clearly stated.


Method


Here the methodological framework (design and stages of the research) formulated for the fulfillment of the objectives will be presented. Added to this, it should be noted the population or scenarios addressed, the tools and materials used, the time limits and the data analysis plan.


In case of requiring subtitles, these should be placed in a justified format in lowercase letters and in bold.


The articles that the magazine receives should follow the typology presented by Colciencias:


1) Scientific and technological research article. Document that presents, in a detailed manner, the original results of completed research projects. The structure generally used contains four important sections: introduction, methodology, results and conclusions.


2) Reflection article. Document that presents research results completed from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, using original sources.


3) Review article. Document result of a finished research where the results of published or unpublished research are analyzed, systematized and integrated, on a field in science or technology, in order to account for the advances and development trends. It is characterized by presenting a careful bibliographic review of at least 50 references.


The methodology of this type of article refers to the characteristics of the search: Data bases used, terms used in the search under the descriptor standards, inclusion and exclusion criteria, number of potentially relevant studies, number of studies included in the the review, method of article selection and data analysis.


Results


The results must meet the objective stated in the introduction. For your presentation you can use figures, graphs or tables, the size of the font should be between 8 and 10 points. These must be clear and legible.


In the case of figures and graphs, they must have consecutive Arabic numerals. In the same way, they must specify the source.


When the figure, graph or table are prepared by the author (s) of the article, correspond to data product of the investigation and these have not been previously published, the legend "Own elaboration" will be placed in the source along with the year between parenthesis in which it was developed.


If it corresponds to a figure, graphic or table taken from some source but reworked by the author (s) of the article, the legend "Own elaboration based on, followed by the complete citation data of the publication, in compliance with the APA standards It should be noted that this source must appear within the citation sequence of the article itself and in the final list of references.


Finally, if a figure, graph or table taken from another source is presented, the original source must be mentioned and the authorization of the author must be obtained.


The size of the legends corresponding to the sources or additional explanations must be nine (8) points and both the title and the source must be centered.


The graphics, tables and figures will be placed within the text as appropriate.


Discussion


This section corresponds to the contrast between the findings and the conceptual, referential or theoretical framework addressed in the study, showing a dialogue between the different authors. It should be developed as far as possible in the order of the objectives proposed in the article.


Likewise, it must present the successes and limitations of the study and identify gaps that will give way to future research. If relevant, note the academic, scientific, social or political impact that the investigation had.


Conclusions


The conclusions must be clear and coherent with the proposed objectives. They must express to what extent the objectives were fulfilled as well as the final balance of the investigation.

References


References will be presented in accordance with APA standards. Here are some examples:

In the final list of references: The alphabetical order will be located.
